this all started in august with a back ache and 3 hospital’s and several doctor’s later i was told i had acute myleoid leukemia and had several months to live without treatment and 12-18 months maximum with chemotherapy. i needed a stem cell transplant and my favorite little brother who happens to be in prison was my match it has taken since october ‘07 to reach this stage i am on day 2 of two different types of chemo one for 4 days and one for 5 days this will be followed by full body radiation and then stem cell transplant.

i got my brother’s stem cells yesterday, so i am told that this is now day one. i still feel relatively good, and continue to acknowledge being blessed because of my minimal side effects.
